Why character education in Islamic schools is important

Value of the month. Hadith of the week. Service learning. Philanthropy for children. Sound familiar to you?

Rather than using these disconnected add-ons, spice up your Islamic school with character development programs that are infused in your curriculum.

In this short clip, sister Sommieh Flower discusses the Tarbiyah framework, where character education is part of the entire school curriculum.

This framework is unique in many ways. To find out how, watch this short explanation below.

P.S. Registration for the Islamic Teacher Education Program will be launching this Friday. Seats are expected to fill up fast. Sign up to our mailing list to be notified when registration goes live.

Where can we find out more about how character education was imbedded into the culture of the school, the curriculum?
Has the Tarbiya Project been published? Is there a team working on it now?

would it be possible to share resources somewhere on this site – for example, the whole program that Sister Sommieh mentions – could we get a copy so we can start to implement it?
