OCP Around the World 2015Alhamdulillah, the fourth annual convocation ceremony of the Islamic Teacher Education Online Certificate Program took place on Feb 28, 2015.

Since January 2011, the group of educators committed to Islamic education and Prophetic pedagogy has grown. The initial pilot group of 25 educators, has grown to 300+ educators around the world. Allah be praised.

We were honoured to have Dr. Abdullah Trevathan share his advice with us and with the new graduates. His keynote address begins at 27:25

The program also featured messages from our program faculty including course facilitators Dr. Seema Imam, and Br. Dylan Chown.

About the Presenter

Dr. Abdullah Trevathan is the Director of Al-Akhawayn School in Morocco. An academic, social philosopher, and teacher; Dr Trevathan has years of experience in different educational institutions as a researcher on comparative religion and religious education, senior lecturer in Education at Roehampton University, former head teacher of the first Muslim State school Islamia Primary in the UK, and has helped to bring the beauty and depth of traditional Islam to the wider public through his contributions on the BBC.
